I painted this for a teacher's door for Teacher Appreciation.
Inspired by Ramero Britto

I went to Josh's 5th grade class today.
Taught the kids about oil pastels, and then they rubbed it
with a Q-tip. I taught them about blending.
We then outlined the lines with black glue.

In Club DaVinci class we learned about Ramero Britto.

Peacocks

I went to Whitney's 2nd grade class and painted some peacocks.
I think they are pretty cool.

Cousin Sleepover

It's Spring Break and my daughter wanted to have her cousins over for a sleepover.
And of course when we are at Aunt Debbie's there are always Art projects underway. We did two paper mache projects. Sooo much fun

Oil Pastels

In the Salvador Sketcher's class today this is what we did.
We used oil pastels and rubbed them with a q-tip for blending,
then took black glue to outline.

They did an OUTSTANDING Job!

my daughter's 2nd grade class

I go into my daughter's 2nd grade class every other week and volunteer to teach art. We did the owls. I love teaching this one because the kids get to use soft pastels and their art work is amazing. We go step by step together. After I teach how to draw and color it, I then teach about shading and highlighting. All I hear throughout the class is how much fun this is. It is FUN!

Zebras

Salvador Sketchers learned how to paint a Zebra.
The picture below is my drawing as an example for the students.
We mixed acrylic painting with soft pastels.
