My students learned about the Desert artist, Wayne Thiebaud and then sculpted their own sundaes. They colored the glue to make it into the sauce which was then poured onto their ice cream scoops.

About a week ago I was contacted by the Daily Herald, our local paper, wanting to do a profile on my Children's art classes. So on Wednesday the photographer came to our class and photographed my students. Today the article hit online and will be in the Daily Herald tomorrow. So Cool. Check out the article.
In Art class we learned about Wayne Thiebaud and his dessert art. Not only did we paint cupcakes using spackle paste and then sculpted some ice cream. YUM!!
In my back yard there is a field and this year the field is filled with Sunflowers. It is so beautiful, a perfect place for our first Art Class for the Fall. Kids used oil pastels.
